Training Classes Offered: 

Two Day Nevada Course (NV PILB & CCW)
A 2 Day Course meeting the requirements: set by NV PILB governing the training of Armed Guards, and set by NVSCA governing the carrying of a concealed firearm by a private person.

​

The class contains the most pertinent & necessary information for a private citizen to responsibly carry a firearm both exposed and concealed in public whether for employment, to exercise your 2nd amendment right, or out of an abundance of caution.

​

Topics include not limited to: Firearm Safety, Situational Awareness, Defusing & Deescalating Confrontation, Safe Handling, Holster Selection, Malfunction Clearance, Reloading, Shooting from Cover or Concealment, Overview of Law pertaining to self defense.

Here's what is expected depending on what certification / licensing you intend to apply for.

​

All Students Need to Bring: 

  • Protective Glasses - Rated ANSI Z87.1-2020 or z87+

  • Ear Plugs, or Ear Muffs with an NRR rating of 22 or greater

  • Firearm - The one you intend to carry.

  • 2-3 Magazines for your firearm and a Holder.

  • Lunch & Adequate Water

  • 200 Rounds of Ammunition

Students Taking the Class to Apply for a PILB Work Card:

  • Valid Photo ID & PILB Work Card if applying for Armed Work Card

  • NV PILB VEAS form (Verification of Employment signed by the Licensee, If applying for PILB)

  • Duty Belt & Keepers or Duty Belt & Velcro Liner Belt

  • A Duty Holster (Level II / III)

Students taking the class to Apply for a Concealed Firearm Permit with LVMPD

  • Sturdy Gun Belt that does not stretch 

  • A cover garment that can be damaged

  • Concealment Holster 

  • Bring a back-up Outside the Waistband (OWB) holster in case the method of concealment you mean to use it determined to be unsafe for a range environment. (Drawing from Pocket, purse, ankle)

 

Fees in Excess of Class dues. When you apply to the appropriate regulating body expect to pay:

​

  • $25 to PILB for new armed work card applications.

  • $5 to PILB for Semi-Annual qualifications.

  • $100.25 to LVMPD for a New Concealed Firearm Permit application.

  • $62.25 to LVMPD for Renewal Concealed Firearm Permit applications.
